About

With a bachelor of Education in Secondary Music, gained in the glory years of NO technology, Jazz (Eric Bryce) and lost of singing (Adelaide Connection) I have taught in South Australia Queensland and Internationally, State and Private, Secondary and Primary, Instrumental and Classroom music for 30 years. Kodaly and Orff-Schulwerk levels achieved, I now focus on Primary Music education and am a passionate advocate for quality contemporary education research and practice in music education. Technology, particularly social media and forms of distance communication and collaboration are the most exciting tools for music educators who are generally isolated and, particularly in Primary schools, often left out of skill-improvement agendas.  This needs to change.

I now also work in the Digital Technologies Education field when I can and mentor colleagues who do not find the shift to collaborative, digitally enhanced teaching and learning easy.
